| Lake Altoona County Park Beach Shelter
2026 and 2027 reservations are being accepted at this time. Facilities include a clubhouse and two shelters for graduation parties, family or business gatherings, a large beach area, cooking grills, volleyball courts, and playgrounds. There are no lifeguards on duty, swimming will be done at your own risk. Pets are NOT allowed at this park. There are two picnic shelters (with electricity) that are reservable. Brand new in 2026 beach shelter seats approximately 40 people with a maximum capacity of 80 people. Beach shelter is located near the beach parking lot overlooking Lake Altoona. The park season opens May 15 and closes October 15. Reservations are booked strictly on a first-come, first serve basis. Call the Lake Altoona Park office at (715) 834-9042 for further inquiries.
